Lindsey Hopkins School of Technical Education

Published

Hello to all!

I have a question about Lindsey Hopkins and the LPN program.

I've heard the program is awful and located in an weird neighborhood.

Can anyone please clarify this for me? How is the program actually? I have tried searching more information but no LH graduates seem to respond. Any information will be helpful and much appreciated.

Thank you in advance :)

Hi Sarai1989, Lindsey Hopkins was one of the schools I looked into when doing my own search for a really good nursing school. It's located in Miami (20th street & NW 7th ave) to be exact, not the best neighborhood, it's next to Miami Dade College (Medical Campus). If I'm not mistaken the program is about 12-14 months long & not so bad from what I've heard. What turned me away from this school was the office staff!!! They were ridiculously rude. I figured if I'm treated this way before I even start what would it have been like while attending? Not trying to deter you, just giving you my experience. Good luck to you with your endeavors:wink2:

I can agree with that, I just got accepted to the LPN program at Miami Lakes Technical. I was referred by a student that attended she had a very good experience. But I know a lot of people that say whatever you do don't go Lindsey Hopkins, cause they too had bad experience from going to that school the teachers were there for a pay check. I work at the jail not too far from there, so you may see a few people walking around in there jail bird blues. Just wanted to let you know, I work right down the street and did not want to go there. I prefer to take to commute to Miami Lakes tech. But I have heard good things about Sheridan VO tech and Broward base LPN schools.

Sheridan Votech is located on Sheridan St in Hollywood, Fl in Broward County. It has an excellent LPN program. My niece went t o Miami Dade Community College night LPN class. She started 2wks late but was still able to catch up. She passed her NCLEX on her first try. Many of the students were not able to keep up. You may also want to look into this program.
