Lincoln Tech (mount Laurel, NJ)

I am thinking about registering for the evening LPN course.. Has anyone gone thru Lincoln Tech's program and can provide me with some info?? Is it really hard? How are the teachers? I took some college A&P courses at a local college and they were REALLY hard! I'm wondering if Lincoln Tech's program is as hard.. Any info would be appreciated--even if u went to another Lincoln Tech location. :nuke:

All nursing programs are hard, they require lots of study time plus the stress of learning about diseases that you never knew existed. You will be taking care of peoples lives, if this is what you want to do for a living then go for it. I know I had many anxieties prior to applying to nursing school and many of those continued after graduation. Nursing isnt for everyone but I sure love it.

You don't say why you are considering nursing school? Is the difficulty question more about time commitment issues due to pre-existing commitments?

I have always wanted to be a nurse. I took a few courses to see how I would do. I passed, but they were really hard. They gave u so much info at one time that it was hard to know what to study. I'm a fast learner, but I don't want to be bombarded and overwhelmed. They would sometimes give us like 2-3 chapters at once. And thats alot when you are studying Anatomy. It was also really in depth. I have been told that LPN courses arent as in depth as RN. I'm totally ready and willing to committ myself, I just wanna know some feedback from graduates as to what I should expect.

If you really want to become a nurse (LPN or RN) please be ready to give up a great portion of your personal time and life.:cry: Nursing is a life time passion that begins in nursing school. You will miss Birthdays, holidays and other special events because you will be studying, studying and studying.:mad: By the way when you become a nurse you will miss Birthdays, holidays and other speical events because you will be making a difference in someone's life.:nurse: Nursing is an awsome profession. Since you are living in NJ as am I, I strongly recommend you begin with your RN not LPN. Reason being is that in NJ LPN's are being phased out of the hospital setting, thus forcing them into Long Term areas of Health Care.

Like a previous poster said all nursing classes will force you to read hundreds of pages in a short span of time and classes are very hard and that is because a person's life is in your hands so they want to weed out the week one's. If you believe you can do it I wish you the best of luck.
