Hello and great to hear your inquiring about nursing school I would just like to say as a recent Lincoln Tech grad and now EMPLOYED LPN that you are making a great choice! Do NOT Listen to negatives!!! I wouldn't tell you not to go to lincoln tech when I have my license and you dont! Lincoln tech has its faults but they are working on them! There statistics are bad based off students 2 years ago who have still not taken the nclex!!! Let me tell you more than half my class has taken it 1-2 months after gradutaion and PASSED! 3 that have fulltime and multiple jobs making between 26-30! And if you can get pell your set you'll pay 115 tops/mo. They do monthly installments of what ever is left over. I got pell to my tuition is ultimately $19,000.00 in loans 1,200 i paid over the 12 months i was at lti b/c a portion is mandatory while you're in school. Now remember this is a technical school so stay away from the drama. Some teachers are great but theres some not so great ones but what can you do? Pick up your books and study! Im a self study type of person this is a self study type of school but it can work in groups if you want it. Theres nice people who are about their schoolwork and getting the hell out and there are people you'll see fail semester after semester like nursing is a game. If you want your license and want it fast go for it. You'll have to put up with somethings but can you beat 12 months and then done?? Im going right into an rn program in august fulltime after being waitlisted for 2 years! Since im going fulltime my loans are deferred as long as im fulltime. Its your future dont let anyone talk it down :specs:

Hello nmadjeski and amzie91,

This question is mainly for Amzie91:

I'm new here to the board and am also thinking about going into the LPN program at LT in Moorestown, NJ. I've read your posts dated way back when you first started the program at LT and wanted to ask if you were to rate the program on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst, 10 being the best), what would you give it? Which program schedule did you follow - days or evenings? What about clinical - at what point of the program did you start going to clinicals? Was the TEAS test mostly about general subjects? Is there a tutoring service available if needed? I know these are a lot of questions and I do apologize, but this is so important for me to know before signing the dotted line when I meet with an adviser next week. Sometimes advisers don't always give you full disclosure.

Thanks in advance!

Dear OP I would give Lincoln Tech a 7 on a scale from 1-10. This school is a good school with good resources and information. You want to be a nurse and this school will train you to be a nurse. The boards don't lie. I had the minimum of 85 questions on my boards meaning I was well prepared for it. I attended the full-time day program. They have a full-time evening program which is almost identical. Clinicals start within a month. The teas is general but I would say touch up on math if that's your weakness. When you meet the adviser don't run. The way they call your phone constantly and keep a consistent smile may make you suspicious or maybe that was just me :lol2: Tutoring is definitely available with three professors and one LTI grad of 3 years ago who is very exceptional. The only bad about this school are the students who aren't fit to be in nursing period and dramatize the classroom. LTI is full of complaining students yes the school has things to work on but by the time I started LTI had started all their major improvements and my experience was great. Teachers are great if you let them be which a lot of students don't b/c they complain. Clinicals start about a month into the program. Clinical sites are good but not as good as they used to be. Why? B/c of students. LTI has lost Cooper Hospital (NICU, nursery, maternity unit) voorhees pediatrics and Ancora Psychiatric Hospital all b/c of disrespectful students. You will never make it in nursing if you're disrespectful, ignoarant and a complainer which most LTI students are. I think LTI should have a more strict admissions process. Other than that the instructors are knowledgeable and experienced nurses with bachelors masters and PHD's. If you're like me and can ween out the negative attitudes and focus on your studying LTI is a fine institute for you. I've made some great friends, who like me are serious about nursing. Ironically me and the friends I made at LTI all passed the boards are working and starting RN programs this year hmmm and we never took part in the nonsense going on in the classroom! Classmates cry and want to petition because they fail a test they weren't prepared for and blame it on teachers. Students pick on other students out of jealousy, cliques form but if you're mature and humble you by pass all of that. Teachers sometimes can't stand students but who would like to deal with adult students that act like a a highly disrespectful preteens with no home training. Sorry this is so lengthy but in full DISCLOSURE good luck in your decision making
