When you relocate from one compact state to another, and your license grants multi-state privileges, you can work in the new state using your current license; regardless whether you are applying for licensure by endorsement or reinstating a lapsed license.
Reading your post, I don't think there is a problem with the application process. And, If the BON website says that all tasks for reinstatement are complete, I suspect that the pending status indicates that the application process is processing.
Your current license expiring this month might be problematic. If you were applying for licensure by endorsement, you would need an active license. However, as you are applying for reinstatement of a lapsed license, I'm not sure what, if any, effect your current license expiring is going to have. If you haven't done so, you should contact the BON for guidance.
Best wishes.
I renewed my drivers license in Oklahoma recently. I think I fall into the 60 day rule by the NLC. I have been practicing under my other state compact license? IDK. ugh.... I should've just timed this all WAY BETTER. I had not planned to stay in Oklahoma. I tried taking another travel contract in Montana and I LITERALLY missed my mom. LOL.
The 60 day rule refers to time you have to start the application process, not how long you can work using your current license. When you relocate to another state, after you you apply for licensure, you would be allowed to work on your current license while your new license processes.
As your application shows you have completed all steps regarding reinstating your license, if you haven't done so, you should contact the BON.
Again, best wishes.

nurse scenario: Moved to a compact state during "covid season" 2020 and obtained a compact license, allowed ORIGINAL licensing state license to expire, has NOW returned to Original licensing state (now also a compact state. It was a single state when it expired) & applied for reinstatement, COMPACT LICENSE FROM PREVIOUS STATE EXPIRES THIS MONTH (3 days, eek). 😶.
The licensure site says all tasks for reinstatement are complete but the application still says "pending". Since compact licensure can only be in one state, does the "reinstatement" have to wait until the other one expires? OR is there a problem somewhere? My concern is lapse in licensure. I DID travel nursing and , quite literally, haven't had an actual "home" since 2021 until I recently decided I'd stay put close to my mother. I don't know how long I can keep from losing my mind over the thought of my license expiring, but I wanted to go by the rules and declare my home state instead of renewing my previous state WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH EASIER.
Any thoughts or experience with this situation? Am I missing a step somewhere? What should I do BESIDES covering my position starting Sunday night with another RN?
