Hello. I will soon be graduating from an LVN program in California. I am looking at relocating to Texas or Colorado. My question is, would it be better to take the NCLEX in either of those states to save time and money? Also, I understand that Texas and Colorado have a compact and I would be able to practice in either state. Can anyone give me some feedback? Thank you

I graduated from an LVN program in California in 2005.
I moved to Texas about a month after graduation and took NCLEX in Texas, but my results were processed by the California BVNPT since that's where my school sent my eligibility paperwork. After receiving my California license, I endorsed it into Texas.
NCLEX can be taken anywhere, regardless of where you attended school. I decided to get a California license and endorse it into Texas, because the process of applying for initial licensure in Texas seemed like more of a headache. However, you could also apply for initial licensure in Texas or Colorado if that is what you desire. Good luck!
