License Endorsement

Hello Everyone,

I have applied for my CA RN license by endorsement, I am applying from PA. Application was sent on July 10 and fingerprints were done on July 17 via livescan. This Friday it will have been about 2 weeks and the BON has not cashed my check yet.

Several questions for all of you who have recently applied for endorsement and who may be in a similar situation:

1) How long did it take for Your check to be cashed after you completed livescan?

2) How long did it take for the whole process?

3) When should I start contacting the CA BON?

I am just frustrated bc now it's a waiting game and I've read several horror stories about different experiences others have had. I read somewhere that there were major delays due to the new system being used, but I am wondering if the BON has resolved the issue and are processing requests better now.

They won't even speak to you until 6-8 weeks after your check has been cashed. I don't remember how long it took for them to cash mine, but I do remember that the process seemed very inefficient.

Update: they just cashed my check however it says I'm missing "Education history." Which I actually went to my University to have them send out before I sent in my application. I have also read that it will say that but does not technically mean what it says. Instead it just means the application is processing. I am just hoping to get my license sooner than later due to a tentative job offer pending my CA license. But after reading so many stories that doesn't seem likely. I'll try to stay optimistic!
