License Endorsement Requirements

Hello all,

I am trying to endorse my license from Florida to the state of New York and am running into some obstacles. NYS requires verification of licensure which is no problem. I have transferred my license originally from VA to FL so that is an easy one to verify. NYS also wants verification directly from the nursing education facility I graduated from as well. Unfortunately, the school has since closed (I graduated in 2004). Has anyone experienced this issue before, and if not I welcome any suggestions!

Have you contacted the NY State Education Department Office of the Professions for guidance? They are the ones that can give you a definitive answer.

Thank you! I have left messages with the board of nursing in NYS, the board of nursing where I originally got my licensure, plus the hospital where I received my education from. Hopefully, reaching out to them will help me to get some answers soon.

The only other thing I would suggest is use email for as many of these conversations as possible. This provides a detailed account of what was discussed, and with whom.
