Let's do a poll for IUON

Nursing Students Student Assist

Published

I have read many negative comments and positive comments on the International University of Nursing. A lot of the posts were old between 2006-2008. I still can't get an idea whether to go or not. I am eager to finish the schooling and start my career ASAP and don't want to wait for possible 2 years for the school application process.

IUON seems to be a good choice from this view point because they accept students both Spring and fall terms and no waiting list. I am self-motivated and disciplined. I just want to be able to get a BSN degree from IUON's partner school and pass the NCLEX, no matter how hard I have to do the study on my own. After all, most of my state college experiences are associated with lots of self study.

I will not seek employment in CA or FL. I know these 2 states have a stricter qualification for nursing education. My long term goal is to get a master's degree in nursing. I know I'll get a US state college degree from IUON's partner school. Is that true?

Could any one who attended and are attending IUON vote for the overall rating of this school despite the bad clinical facility and living expenses there? (I have to pay for rent and food any other school I attend anyway.)

Thanks a million! :)

Loans should be enough but some of my fellow classmates had difficulty if no co-signer. You can request a certain amount and if/once approved, you can refuse all or some of the loan amount. Likely the interest will be comparatively higher but once you transfer to a US partner school, you should be eligible for both lower interest students loans and grants. Also, there is a Facebook page.

Buy books when you get on the island. Get them from students leaving the island for super cheap. ********runs the school bookstore. She got this gig through family links. She overcharges on everything since she knows you have few other options. She is the one of the rudest and impolite people I have ever met. The world would be a better place without her and I actually wish her ill will. Do what ever you can to avoid the bookstore and cafeteria. Also, the cafeteria, which she runs, commonly serves soiled food. I became sick on a number of occations. But since the food options by the campus are non-existant, sometimes eating suspect food is better than going hungry.

****staff note: per site ToS do not post names of staff/personnel*****

Any good school that IUON had as a transfer school has dropped IUON due to the poor education they obtained at IUON. The campuses that remain do not have long waiting lists and you can apply dirrectly. Go to St. Kitts for vacation, not for school.
