Not from my experience, but make sure the stoma bag is secured while packing a huge open wound just lateral to colostomy. If it was not - wear the mask!!!!!!!!!

Oh speaking of that, just an FYI tip: If you have a pt with a Ileostomy or Colostomy bag and you're a gagger with bad odors ---before you go to the pt, take a sniff of an alcohol prep pad --it works everytime to numb the smell for a few minutes(work quick) and prevents you from gagging in front of the pt and having to turn away.
