Hello! I am a senior nursing student currently in my leadership and management rotation. I am currently working with a preceptor in the emergency department and I have to come up with a good topic to teach the ED nurses in a 20-30 minute presentation. Any ideas on good topics that relate to ED nurses and leadership that will not be boring or information that they have had a million times? I want this to be interesting since I have to take 20 minutes out of their busy day!

I'd ask the ED nurses in your unit.
I know, I've asked a couple but they are not very helpful. My preceptor is the nurse manager so we are rarely on the actual unit. Just looking for ideas!

Sounds just like the QI project we had to do lol. Don't pick something boring like handwashing...make a twist and do something like who wears gloves during IV insertion or blood draws. I've seen plenty of nurses(myself included) who at least pop the fingertip off the glove to feel veins. Some do no gloves and aren't afraid to get blood on their hands. Iunno think of something random
