Leadership and Empowerment

At my current employer my supervisor will take it upon herself to delegate certain employees to remind the other employees about team recognition by giving credit where credit is due, additional on the job cross-training classes for advancement in field and the benefits of patient satisfaction and how its effects our annual pay raises. What are ways at your facility that your manager empowers your team? Do you feel that the empowerment contributes to the team? One of our mottos is to go above and beyond. I feel that it does motivate the team, but can get dragged out at times.
