Hello Laura! I'm so glad to see someone else out there waiting! I got an 87 on my TEAS and a 78 Kaplan. I've applied for both the online and on campus options, as I live in Longview. How about yourself?
I will keep my fingers crossed for us both in the hopes we each get what we need! I've read through a bunch of the threads from different years and it seems that we won't have to wait all the way until the 10th. I'm hoping to know by the end of July. Patience is not one of my virtues LOL. What did you use to study for the Kaplan?
I hope so as well! I'm also surprised we're the only two posting, but I took my tests early last week so have been crazy with the waiting, while some may have just taken the tests yesterday. Hopefully more will join in the anticipation, but if not glad I'm not alone in holding my breath ?
I know. I'm not sure I understand exactly how the approval/denial criteria works. I emailed Bev a while ago to ask and she said that TEAS/Kaplan scores are only looked at after the *new points system* is used, if there is a tie?
Only thing on points I see on the website is the military, and 4 points for completing co-requisite courses and the current student point.
It doesn't say if pre-req grades or GPA is used....so I'm super confused.
Yeah I'm not sure what role GPA plays. I know I'll get the point for living in Longview, and another 4 for the additional prerequisites, not military so won't get that. I think it's a point per percent on each test so I'd have 165 there plus the additional 5 for above totalling 170. If it's additional points for GPA that'd bring me up to 173.7 points. From the other threads in past years that seems to be the equation, but this is all conjecture... The 10th seems like a million years away ?
Soooooo, I got a call today from LCC. They are definitely going through applications because they were asking me my preferences for e-learning vs. on campus...I guess my application data was confusing due to my location and I had said I wanted to be considered for either...so they wanted to double check what I wanted to be considered for? Ahhhh. . . .so nerve wracking.
She DID say that she thinks I will qualify for the e-learning based on scores, but she's not sure how high up the scores will go. . .
Now I'm confused. . .lolllll. But I am super excited to know that the process is HAPPENING. I'm just SO impatient ?

Nervously awaiting notification, I know official testing ends today but wondering how everyone else is feeling?
