Ok, who besides me is on pins and needles waiting for the final word on layoffs resulting from the budget cut?

This is ridiculous. I can't believe the crisis this nation is in. How did we get here? We all see on a daily basis even when "fully staffed" how short staffed we are. Let's be honest, administration's idea of appropriate staffing is a joke. It's a matter of time when pt begin to suffer in major ways. We all know what a litigious society we live in. I only hope people don't try to hold nurses resposible for lousy care. Surely they can see the truth? Wonder what the CEO of my hospital is driving. I mean, someone out there is getting paid, it's just not those who deserve and who have earned it.
