Lawson State Nursing Program

Hi everyone, I don't see any recent forums on Lawson state. I'm considering applying to Lawson, so If you are a graduate, current student, or applicant who has any tips, advice, opinions, or if you'd like to share your experience with the nursing program please post here.

I was just looking online for more information about their program. Lol. I want to have a back up just in case I don't get into Jeff State. I've heard some good reviews about their program recently but I would love to know more about their point ranges and the usual scores accepted!!

I only see posts from years ago. Hopefully someone will post and give us some insight! Are you applying to the day or night program?

I was looking into both programs at Lawson. I called someone in the nursing dept to ask questions but she's not available until the 20th I believe. I would like to know the clinical hours. I see daytime hrs say 7am-8pm but nothing on nights. I think I just have alot of questions right now lol.

And I also applied to both full time and part time at Jeff State. Which ones are you applying to/for?

I've applied to Jeff State night program 1st then Pell, then Jefferson, Shelby, clanton. Gonna apply to Lawsons night program also both RN and LPN just in case I don't get into a RN because Lawsons bridge program to RN is only 4semesters when you get your LPN there. Hoping to get into Lawsons night RN program though. You may want to try their [email protected] for questions. I usually get a prompt response and they're great about answering all questions.

Thank you! I assumed it would be easier to call and speak with someone but I'm glad you brought it to my attention. I will get on that right away.

I applied to both day and night program full time program at lawson state. I would love to know if you guys received a letter of acceptance to either school will you post it here. Along with your points. I also applied at jeff state full time program as well I selected shelby and clanton as my choices.

No acceptance letters yet from either. Probably won't be until July for Lawson, and should be any day now for Jeff State. The wait is insane! I applied to Lawson with 197 points and I think I had 180 with Jeff State. I did read on a thread that Jeff State has started sending out rejection letters. I don't how true that is, but keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get one. I have no idea what either schools cutoff is. But Good luck to everyone!

One of my friends did email Lawson's nursing department to ask what the cutoff/ minimum range was and the response was that there wasn't a cut off but 160 and above is a good range to be in for acceptance. I'm not sure if she was referring to day or night. Hope this helps

Im right under 160 by maybe 5 or 7 points. I believe. I applied for all they offered so which ever one comes first I am going to take it. Got sad news today from jeff state through.

Hopefully before then because the fall begins aug 18. So hopefully soon

I know some of you may have applied at jeff state well I did not get into jeff state for this fall points were low. She said anything around 188 and up was good. And once they get to 188 they decide on g.p.a.if they have to but thats all the information she could give me. So im praying for lawson nights but I will take what ever comes. Update as you get any info that we can use or u find out.
