Hello everyone. I have not seen a thread for Los Angeles Valley College Spring 2016 applicants. I have recently been admitted and am trying to decide between LAVC and LA County. Any student past or present have any input on the program LAVC? And is anyone who is also admitted having a hard time making a decision on which school you want to attend?

I applied and was accepted. I turned down my spot at LAVC for one at Moorpark. They have great NCLEX pass rates at Moorpark and it is closer to me. I would use those and opinions of those who manage to pass the program and the NCLEX. There are some who have poor opinions of some programs, but it may be they did not do well due to their own deficits. See about those who did well. I have heard very little of LAVC but wanted a backup program if I did not get into Moorpark or the other schools I applied to. I liked the attitude of the staff at LAVC but know mothing else than that. Good luck on your decision and Good luck in the program!!
Have you guys heard anything? I called last week and the lady said that they are still selecting people... that it can take till the end of November.
I'm going to call Lavc to turn down my offer soon. Hopefully you get accepted dspty4.
Aw, thank you for your wishes! I hope I get in!

Bbmtnbb, congratulations! I was accepted at moorpark but turned them down for lavc - same reasons as you, closer to me and upon looking, both schools have good consistent nclex pass rates. All the best!

Hey everyone. I know people at LA Pierce College and they love that program. I've heard great things about College of the Canyons, Moorpark, Glendale, and Pasadena also. People from COC, Moorpark, Glendale, and Pasadena get hired faster from what I've seen at hospitals. The NCLEX passing rates are also high. I know some people at LAVC and some have transferred to other programs. I go to College of the Canyons and it is a great program. They truly care about their students and I have not heard that about LAVC. Hope that helps.

Did anyone hear any news from LAVC yet? I know a lot of schools have been sending out decisions, but no news from LAVC. Anyone heard anything? Thanks.
I called today. The lady said that hopefully by next week (before Thanksgiving) we all should know if we made it into the program.
