My travel contract at LRH was for 13 weeks, and I would not have stayed a day longer if they increased my pay to $80/hour. I consider myself flexible and hard-working, but this place is dangerous. Apart from the absence of any kind of work ethic in the staff, the assignments are unsafe and there is not enough staff (unit clerks and techs) to provide quality patient care. To make my point, the hospital has paid out 4 million dollars in the last 2 weeks in liability law suits. They have evidently had major budget issues the past several years, and every bit of it shows. My advice to you would be "run as far as you can in the other direction."

I completely agree!! I currently work there and must say there is barely a gleam of team in the hospital. In the ED, for instance, you are 5:1 ratio with 2 techs, but they have to stock rooms until 11:30 and will not help you till then, there is only one nurse in the fast track area with 5 beds and no help at all. They slam you when your rooms are empty and then the charge nurses don't bother to help with the 3 new patients they just gave you:angryfire. They need a serious over-haul!
