LATTC RN Spring & Fall 2019 Acceptance

Hi! I applied RN program in September 2017 at LATTC. I keep looking to see if anyone has started a thread for Spring and Fall 2019 and haven't found one. I'm hoping to be in the program by Spring 2019 (finger cross). I'd love to connect with other applicants and keep each other updated on our processes.

I applied October 2018 and was recently told to call back in October 2021. I was originally told 2 to 3 semesters not 2 to 3 years.

I see that on their brochure still available on the website it says something along the lines of a 1-2 semester wait... guess they should probably update that.

Yeah if you ask, they will tell you 2-3 semesters not counting the semester you applied in. And prob cus there’s so many people applying and they let everyone in. It’s frustrating but if it’s your only choice, what can you do right?

I turned my packet in on Monday. I was told by the office, that they would contact me if anything was missing. If I haven’t heard back, that’s a good thing, right? I’m only asking because the deadline was today at 12pm. On a side note, do any of you know how long the orientation will take on the 28th? Thanks!!! Oh and is the time 8am? ?

I turned mine yesterday, but I email Angel to follow up to make sure everything is good to go but nope, I gotta redo my TB. Dang it!

The paper says orientation is at 8pm. I hope it’s not a typo.

Interesting.. the letter we received in the mail says 8:00pm. Do they expect us just to show up at 8am when the paper says 8pm? If there was a typo they should of notified us. I feel this school is so disorganized. Even the RN 119 schedule for summer posted online isn’t accurate according to Angel. This is going to be long interesting 2 years.

I discussedthis issue with my fellow classmates when we took a fired safety class. We checkedthe typo and it's 8 AM. By the way, what do y'all thinks about making FB LATTC nursing group for us. We can post there for study group, questions, etc so we can all help each other for the next 2 years.

Yeah that’s a good Idea. I’ve ran into too many issues already & the semester hasn’t even started. Just like the polio titer, some of us spent $100 to get it done when we didn’t need it but Angel was adamant it needs to be filled out “completely”. As a nursing student that $100 could of been spent on other things.

Lets hope students show up at 8 AM and not follow the directions on the paper to show up at 8 PM.

I totally understand you. Same here, I thought I did everything correctly, but nope, I had to redo one of my test. Anyway, it was super stressful because that's another $100 to spend, but I google it to find a community clinic. There're a lot in LA area. I called every clinic until I found one that only charge my test (Quanteferon Gold for TB) for $15 instead of a $100. Maybe you could try this number. I’m going based off of the time in the acceptance letter, 8 am. I agree with the FB group! Can you create it and let us know so we can join? I’m looking forward to the next two year with everyone! I’m excited about this new journey and I really believe we will all do great! See everyone on Tuesday!
