LATTC RN Spring & Fall 2019 Acceptance

Published

Hi! I applied RN program in September 2017 at LATTC. I keep looking to see if anyone has started a thread for Spring and Fall 2019 and haven't found one. I'm hoping to be in the program by Spring 2019 (finger cross). I'd love to connect with other applicants and keep each other updated on our processes.

This is so exciting! Congrats everyone starting fall. Stay encouraged everyone who’s waiting to start. Time goes quickly, just be financially prepared for life during the program!

Rosie, don't forget to say hi to me at the orientation ?

Do any of you know how many people get selected for each cohort?

Hi there, I applied in somewhere Nov 2017 and suppose to start Jan 2nd 2019, but I had to postponed due to my last trimester pregnancy. So I'll be in the program this Fall 2019. Best advice for you, avoid a private school. Trust me, you don't want to be in debt once you grad from the program. I have CNA license and I've been working in the hospital for a year now and I learn a lot from my fellow nurses. At the same time, working in the hospital, I get to know what type a nurse I'll be working in. So I encourage you, while waiting to get acceptance from LATTC, go get CNA license then apply to work in the hospital. Save money for when you start your RN program. By the way, when you work in the hospital for a year, usually the hospital has a program for people wants to continue their education and they'll pay for it. Good luck!

Hi,

I applied October ‘18 and am just beginning the waiting process. I was think of going private but didn’t wanted to be in huge debt so I will be waiting. ? I was thinking of getting a CNA license but don’t know how long or much would it be. What school would you recommend? I live in Los Angeles area btw. Thanks.

Congrats to everyone that got accepted, hopefully we could hear about how the program is going. I just got in the waiting list this month (Oct/2018), so I just started the torture of waiting :(

So it might be until Spring 2020 that I start.

Hi there.

I also got in the waiting list in October ‘18 and went to ask on February exactly when I will get in. The lady told me Fall 2021! I was shocked. But from reading the posts it seems the list goes down quite fast. I’m hoping 2020 as well. I will keep checking up on my status. Good luck!

I’m not sure. I’m just going to wait until Orientation because I’m sure they have a distributor that they partner with for students uniforms. I’m so excited omg, ?

Yes i have been working, gaining experience, and overall learning what the nurses do on a daily basis so it really has set the foundation for me. I work as an EKG technician which has helped me understand the cardiovascular side of nursing. This is one topic i will have a breeze through in school. I am not worried about the debt as LATTC rates are fantastic and offer financial aid as well. I havent received anything yet, frequently checking email and mail. Hopefully i will get something soon just staying positive and focused! Congratulations to everyone who got accepted already!

I’m trying to prepare as much as I can for the beginning of the program. Any suggestions on what topics to review? Anatomy, Physio etc?

omg don't tell me that! I e-mailed Angel a couple of weeks ago, but I have been busy applying to other LA County schools that I haven't even bothered checking LATTC.

Are you applying to other schools for Fall 2019 as well?
