Last pre-req class tomorrow!

U.S.A. Indiana

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 8th, will be my VERY LAST PRE-REQ CLASS! ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY II WILL BE OVER! If I just get a 60 on the final, I'll have an A in the class and that will mean As in all my pre-reqs. Woohoo! Now I just have to wait for that darned letter, but it will all be out of my hands. Good luck to everyone finishing up!

My last A & P II class is tomorrow too! I can't wait to have it over with, and I'm pretty sure I have my A. Woo hoo! I have to come back Friday to take my last exam for my online MAT 118 class, but that's easy compared to anatomy.

I just finished my online MAT 118 too last Friday! Did you by any chance have Karen Howard for your instructor? I loved that class and am such a dork now figuring out mortgages and things. Although I don't think I will be able to enjoy gambling as much now that I know how to figure out expected value and how much I can expect to lose per game.

I'm in for Micro this summer and then only have Chem and Ivy Life Skills left to take besides the NUR courses.

I'm taking Math 118 this summer online. Is it too bad?

Hello! (pnk)Actually I had McCrindle out of the SB campus. I think she physically teaches at the Warsaw campus though. I was glad to see the chapter on statistics included, since I know eventually I will have to take a statistics class! I also have Micro this Summer. I'm taking one of Webster's online classes out of Terre Haute.

(2b)I thought it was a great class, but I have always been really strong in math, so not sure if I'm the one to ask. :)

2BNURSE, I didn't think MAT 118 was too difficult. I also took it in the accelerated 8 week format. Just a lot of memorizing formulas for things like interest on loans and mortgages, probability of things occurring or not occurring, counting permutations, and solving inequalities. I by no means am a math whiz, in fact, I scored so low on the compass placement test that I first had to take MAT 050 before I could take 118. I just made sure I studied a lot and did as many exercises in mymathlab (online study aid that accompanies your book) as possible. My instuctor was pretty tough, I think almost half the class dropped after our first exam. I ended up with an A and actually got a 100% on the final. You will cover a lot that you should already know from Algebra like linear equations and graphing. This class made me enjoy math because for the most part you are learning how to calculate things you can use in real life. You will do great as long as you keep up with studying!

Thanks very much for your encouragement! I've actually just finished taking Math 111, but because of a financial aid snafu, I have to graduate with an Associates in General Studies before I can begin the nursing program. So I have to have two 100 level math courses. I'm hoping that since I just finished Math 111 with an A, 118 shouldn't be too hard. The instructor actually suggested that I not even buy the book since I have a My Math Lab disc from 111 that I never used. I hope that doesn't come back to bite me in the rear end, but since I have no financial aid for the summer and can't afford the book, I'll have to chance it.

I just finished Mat 118 and it wasn't to bad. I got an A. I also hardly ever used the textbook. I just used the my math lab and that was it.

Thanks! I'll have it with this summer and she said I probably wouldn't need the book. Hope I do ok! Would you be interested in lending out your book if you haven't sold it? Or in selling it really cheap?

I actually already sold my book on ebay. The hardest thing you will do in the class is all the formulas for mortgages and interest and trying to memorize them. That was either chapter 7 or 8. Other than that most of the stuff was things we learned in previous math classes.
