Im in school now and i remember that feeling so well. It was the best night i had ever had at work knowing it was the last time to clean up someone else's "mess." But soon the real fun begins. The sad thing is that at times you will wish you were back at work giving a bath when you have to face some of the challenges of CRNA school.
LOL, I found this old post today.
Yesterday was my last day as a staff nurse in the Burn ICU. No more 2 hour dressing changes underneath those HOT heat lamps. The funny thing is I was telling some of my co-workers the same thing SLEEPLESS1 said above, I'm sure at times I'll wish I was still under those lights doing a dressing...LOL
Thanks to all who provided information to me throughout the years as I prepared for my fateful day in Jan. 2008.

Today's my last day as a staff nurse, and I just gave my last bath. I start an anesthesia program 2 weeks from today. Thank you to all the educated and informative posters on this forum. This site has provided me with a lot of information regarding the profession, and I have been on this site frequently in the past year. Good luck to all.
Thank you,
Andrew
