Hi. My name is Meena, and I live in Florida but am looking into Nursing Programs in Laredo, TX. Does anyone know anything about the program? Requirements? Acceptance Rates? Pass/Fail? I have a 3.6 overall GPA. I have all the requirements and more. Looks like they require you to take classes such as Microbiology, Chemistry, Developmental Psychology, etc. during the actual program, I actually already have these classes done with with A's in. Would they let me exempt out of taking those classes if I start the program, because that's about 25 credits I wouldn't have to take and that would be great! Again, I don't know much about the program so if someone could help me out that would be awesome!

Hello, I'm late but I was born and raised in Laredo Texas. Ignore all the ignorant things that people say about Laredo. Laredo is not a high crime rate area its just a stereotype we get because we live next to the Mexico border. In fact we have only had 4 homicides this year and they were all associated with immature teenagers fighting among-st each other. The only thing you would have to worry about is locking your car because car break ins do happen if cars are left unlocked. Keep in mind that the population here is mostly Mexican-American citizens but 0 tolerance for racism. It is HOT! Always carry a water bottle with you. As for nursing program, I'm still a pre-nursing student but I have talked to a lot of instructors as well as other nursing students. They are very lenient here and will most likely accept all your credits and a 3.6 gpa is great they only ask for 2.5. I would recommend you give them a call, also the program here is said to be very cheap. Good luck!
