Lanier Technical College LPN Spring 22

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi,

Is anyone planning on applying to the Spring '22 Lanier Technical College's LPN program? Would also love to hear from any current Lanier Tech students and find out your GPA / TEAS score.

Hey atlgirl19!

I am actually applying for the Fall 2021 cohort. I scored a 75 on my TEAS and currently have a 3.4 GPA. I am debating whether I should take the TEAS again. I am currently wrapping up the CNA certification and hope to be certified in time to receive the additional points. Hope to hear some other applicant experiences.  Good luck to you!

@odyssey98 Hi! Have you been to an information session yet? I wanted to apply for fall 2021, but unfortunately have to apply for the Spring semester because I'm taking anatomy and medical terminology over the Summer. I haven't taken the TEAS yet, my test is scheduled for April 30th, I have been scoring 75-80 % on practice tests so I'm hoping I'll score in that range. You're stats sound great! Good luck to you, too! Please post when you find out your admissions decision.

I am attending the info session on Monday (4/19). Wishing you the best! I will post when I find out ?

@odyssey98 Any chance you were able to find out about average TEAS scores at the information meeting? I got a 76.7% on the TEAS and can't decide if I should retake or not.

@atlgirl19 I actually had to reschedule for another info session (6/1) due to scheduling conflicts. I do know that the minimum TEAS score for entry into the program is 60% I am not sure what the average entry is. I am sure it varies from cohort to cohort. Also, great job on your TEAS!! I got a 75% and I have decided not to retest. A lot of the programs I have looked at require a 60%-70% for entry but again that could fly out the video depending on how competitive the applicant scores are. I may retest when I bridge for the RN program.

Hi!

I am applying to the Fall 2021 cohort. My current stats are 3.73 GPA and 80 TEAS score. Hoping I get in!

@dshuler92 your GPA and TEAS are great! I got a 75% on my TEAS and a 3.4 GPA. I also have my CNA certificate so I know that will get me some additional points.  I don't think you will have any issue! Have you attended the information session as yet?

Thank you! I think you will be fine as well! Thats like 70 pts right there so you should be good. I went back in February. Is there anything that you want to know specifically, before you go?

@dshuler92 Thank you. I hope so. I am applying to other programs as well but have my heart set on this one. What did she have to say about the scheduling? I don’t have the luxury of not working during the program. I know it’s recommended, so I am going to work part time night. I’m just curious as to what to expect. Also, did she mention an average score for applicants?

Where else are you applying? If you don't mind me asking. I have no back ups and I feel like I should LOL. She said the clinical could be scheduled during days or nights, it's really based on the availability of the clinical facilities, especially since we are limited on facilities due to covid. But the good thing is that you get the schedule for clinical in advance so you should be able to work around it. She did not mention an avg total score but she did mention the TEAS score being over 70, she said they don't even consider you, if it isn't over 70.

@dshuler92 I am applying to West GA Tech, North GA Tech, and Georgia Piedmont in addition to Lanier. Good to know the schedule will be given ahead of time! Thank you for the info! Wishing you the best!
