Langara College Nursing - concerns/questions..

World Canada CA Programs

Hi everyone!

I just got accepted to Langara's BSCN program for the Fall intake recently and I have a few questions regarding the workload and courses. I'm just wondering how heavy is the workload and if I'm able to possibly work during school? Also, has anyone ever dropped out of the program because he/she could not keep their grades up? I know the passing grade is 65% but I'm just curious if anyone has ever dropped out. I read on another forum that a student had to drop out of the program for 2 semesters before being able to get back in because he/she had failed a course. I'm just worried that I won't be able to keep up with the workload and eventually get dropped out..... I'm not the smartest student out there and I don't believe I could do well in the program and keep my grades up like all the other students. I know this is stupid of me to feel that way because I haven't even started the program but I'm just worried about my skills and ability to excel as a nursing student. I had to retake a few prereqs course just to boost my GPA before applying to the program and I don't have great writing or communication skills. Which is probably why I had to retake English (I suck at writing essays/papers) I definitely have an interest in pursuing nursing as a profession but I don't think I have what it takes to become a nurse. Maybe I'm just being paranoid and overthinking everything...

Hey! I know it's been a year since you posted. How's the nursing program so far?

Hello All,

I am looking to relocate to Montreal and browsing on some websites re: jobs/LVN; I just wanted to know if I would be able to find a job soon without speaking the native language?
