Lakota (Sioux) Rites, Ceremonies and Symbolism

Let me preface here by saying that this is an excellent site for members to learn about significant Lakota spirituality and ceremony and how it plays a part in their lives. I will also state that this knowledge has been exploited by many non NAIs for their own personal gain, which these people have taken great offense. As professionals, and hopefully spiritual in our own lives as well, we can understand why this is so. The Lakota are a very spiritual people and take their spirituality very seriously. As professionals, we are to give respect where respect is due.
