Labor and Delivery Questions

I am interested in becoming a Labor and Delivery Nurse... How many yeas of school does it take to complete the degree?

Welcome to AN! The first question is, what country are you planning to work in? There are many differences in nursing education throughout the world. If you are in the US, there isn't a difference in degrees for nurses working in any specialty; the prelicensure education is the same for every specialty. There are several options for obtaining a degree that would qualify you to take NCLEX: diploma programs, associate programs, baccalaureate programs, and direct-entry masters programs. Depending on the route you choose, you may be in school for a few years or more.

Some resources for locating programs in your area (again, provided you are in the US) include the state BON website, which should provide a list of approved programs, and the websites of the two national bodies that accredit nursing program, ACEN and CCNE.
