Labor and Delivery nurse spring 2010

I am wanting to start classes at San Jactino in Pasadena TX, spring 2010. I would really like to be a labor and delivery nurse:heartbeat. I was wondering if labor and delivery nursing is hard to get into. I really don't mind starting out as PP nurse:nurse: but would really like to assist in deliveries. Also if anyone has some personal experinces in being a labor and delivery nurse I'd like to hear your stories. I feel that is what I want to do in my heart :redbeathe but I don't want to go in it and find out later its not at all what I want.:idea: Thank you for your help in advance.

You'll do an OB rotation in school and get to be on an LD unit..and PP, antepartum and all that jazz...so you'll get a little taste then of it to see if you like it.
