I just found out that I'm enrolled to start the RN program in Spring 2015. Can any students currently in the program or previously graduates please give me advice, study guides, or the names of the books used for the 1st and 2nd semester? Or any tips to be successful in the program?

Hey Jen,
did you receive any email updates (orientation information, etc? )
No, I haven't received any email updates except to apply to Cal State Northridge if I want to complete the Bachelor's program with the ADN. Do you have the names of the books we will be using? Or any other helpful info?
No, sorry no info regarding program material etc.
Looks like students from LA pierce is not really active on this forum.
Will keep you updated on this thread tho!
excited to start spring 2015 :)
Thanks, we can definitely keep each other posted. Since no one else is actively responding from Pierce. I'm going to email Karla regarding the orientation paperwork if I don't hear anything by the end of the week.
Have you received the health screening paperwork? Like to get a physical done.
Just received all the info regarding health screening and stuff today.
orientation jan 14
Just received the same info as you. Now I just have to find a way to get the book list this month
any luck finding the books?
did you do your background/drug test ?
No, I haven't done the background or drug test yet. Only one professor gave me the name of the book. But, I called another professor and she didn't give me the name of the books. She told me to wait until orientation. Have you done the background/ drug test? Or have you tried to get the books?
was planning to do it sometime next week, hopefully everything works out before orientation.

HI, I'm a 2nd semester at Pierce. The school does a bundle for the majority of books you need for 1st and 2nd semester that has most books and access codes for Internet based assignments. I suggest waiting for orientation. Also, they want you to have the most up to date books. Good luck everyone!
