Hi. Can anyone provide me info about LA County USC. Your experiences...good? bad? Would you recommend a new grad to start here? How does their new grad program work? Thanks in advance

That is the big question.I graduated from Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health. We did 95% of our clinicals at LACUSC. After becoming licensed, I worked at LACUSC for two years. Overall, it was a great experience. It is an excellent place to train, what you see there in that patient population you will not see anywhere else.Muffin7

Apr 7, 2009 Hey 200977,I spoke to Nurse Recruitment at LACUSC re: their Open House on the 18th and they said that they are not hiring just accepting apps for the future. Double check.If you are interested in Peds CHLA has an excellent New Grad Program.Louise - Does LACUSC have a Versant Program? I did not know this.

Call them and find out...Good Luck, its a great program!!!Also, as far as CHLA is concerned if you are really interested you could always go to the Open House and see if you could get in.
