U.S.A. California

Has anyone applied to LA county for Spring 2018? Any email or regular mail? I have everything in except for my TEAS score and haven't heard anything. Also, does anyone know the last date they will accept TEAS test scores to be sent over to them?

Thank you!

For those who have not live scanned or had your immunization card checked, make sure you call as early as possible to schedule your live scan appointment. It's in the basement of LAC+USC. Make sure you bring the yellow card when you do go for live scan so the nurse can check if you have all of your immunizations up to date. Don't worry if you don't either because they'll give you whatever immunizations you're missing free of charge. They are really nice in the basement. I also go my flu shot from them as well.

Side note: The required books are sooo much cheaper on Amazon.

See you guys Jan. 08!!

I also purchased the required books from Amazon. Did anyone buy the medical dictionary yet? So many to choose from.

i bought only requirement textbooks and study guides. what kind of shoes did u guys buy for clinical sites?

Did you get the latest versions for the study guide? I found some nice skechers nursing shoes on amazon but don't know if it's comfortable enough.

I purchased the required ones only.

Do you know if there is a limit to how many classes you can retake?

Hi everyone -

To those who are currently in the program at CONAH, how do you like it? They have higher than average attrition rates and lower than average retention rates which worries me.

Specializes in PHN, CNOR, Pre-op&PACU.

It's durable but definitely not the easy one

Clinical sites require a lot effort and time while academic study is challenging as well

Great hand on real world experience no doubt

I'm an immigrant whose first language is not English ...4.0 GPA in all subjects admitted to county ... a lot effort and work is all I can say... if u like challenges, this is the place for u ... if u prefer an easy student life, pick others...
