LA County Medical Center

Published

I don't know what they call this hospital. It's downtown, and I know its a large county hospital. Los Angeles Medical Center is close to the name. Anway....

What is it like to work in this hospital? staffing, charting, morale, ect. Any advise? Which is an easier commute to and from there....Culver City or Hollywood? I have read stories but I would like an opinion from a nurse or CNA that works or has worked there.

Its LAC-USC Medical Center. The hospital is located in Boyle Heights off of Marengo and State St. Its so close to Downtown LA. Hope this helps.

Has anyone worked in this County facility..USC-county medical center?? Not USC-University hosp beside it! (smaller hosp across from Kenneth Norris) The tall old county hospital down the street. They need travellers for 4weeks and I have heard horror stories about this facility? Can someone enlighten me please? ASAP please, suppose to leave next week. Thanks.

I did my 4th semester clinical rotation there. I would spill the beans but am unsure what you want to know. PM me with specific questions. Oh, by the way, staff parks about 1/5 mile away and walks or takes a shuttle.

YES!! Please spill the beans on all! I have been travel nursing for years, I have seen it all. I am potentially leaving on Tues for a 4wk contract. I know it will be bad but how bad? I worked at USC Univ for 1 year, in 2003. We heard terrible stories from the residents!! If you don't want to reply on here, please send to me, private message

Thanks for the reply. I am interested!
