Hi everyone! I was wondering if any nurses here who are currently working for LA county as a seasonal/temporary employee could answer a few of my questions. Some background info: I'm currently working a temporary contracted position as an RN for a Covid-19 testing site. I recently applied as an RN at LA County's Department of Public health and got an offer for a RN I Seasonal job at a vaccine site. I was wondering if seasonal/temp nurses get county benefits or if that's only reserved for the permanent positions? It's been my dream to work for LA County and my goal is to work there as a Public Health RN. Is this temp job worth leaving the other temp job I have currently that pays more? Is it a good place to start if I want to work for the county permanently?
I appreciate any help that I can get!
