Hello,
I was recently called to interview for a position in L&D. I am a new graduate, but I do have 6 months new graduate initiative experience on a postpartum unit (in a different hospital).I'm worried that because I have post partum experience they will ask more clinical questions and I know absolutely nothing about working in L&D!
Although I am comfortable with character based interview questions, and postpartum care, if I were to be asked clinical questions regarding L&D specifically I would most likely draw a blank. I want to prepare, but I don't even know where to start!
I did have one interview for an LDRP floor previously, and all the questions were standard HR questions, but one was regarding a clinical scenario in which "the patients condition is x,y,z and the doctor orders to increase the oxytocin, what would you do?" I HAD NO IDEA!
Do you think this is a legitimate concern, or am over complicating it? and for all L&D nurses, what are some things I absolutely should know? How do I prepare?
This is my dream job, and I really want to do great on this interview. Any advice is very appreciated!

Are you currently working on the post-partum unit where you did the new grad initiative placement?
