Hi everyone!

I recently received an offer of admission to Kwantlen's BSN Post-Baccalaureate Program in which you can get your Bachelors in Nursing in 27 months. This program is to commence in Sept 2013.

I was wondering if anyone has any feedback regarding this program. What's it like compared to the Undergraduate BSN 4-year program at Kwantlen? How is the program in general compared to other BC Nursing Programs? etc.... Any help or information is appreciated!

If you have also been accepted to the program or is thinking of applying, feel free to comment!

Hey guys :)

So great to have met a bunch of you today!

CalmWaters, I have the same questions about our first day. The email said iPads, but I'm not sure about computers or books.... Also, South 1804 is in my email too, but my course outline also states West 2125 - Tuesday though. Hmmm.... Maybe we should shoot them an email to verify the location?

Hi everyone!

How was the orientation? I'm sorry I missed meeting you all. I wasn't sure if we would actually be meeting other classmates or just random other "new" students.

Has everyone bought their books yet? Have you all gone into the online courses? I noticed that the quantitative research course is requesting a digital book that is not on our booklist... I'm wondering if we are supposed to order it online somehow? There is no link to it and it doesn't look like it's in any of the packages. Has anyone bought this separately?

Did any of you meet any of the teachers from the program today? Tehillah, Maybe we should stick to what the course schedule says with regards to the first class? I am probably going to arrive a bit earlier to see what everyone is doing...

Hey :)

I had the same concerns over orientation. They placed all the nurses (BSN, GNUR, GNIE, BSN-PB) in the same group and we managed track each other down within the group before we were asked to identify. Just meeting the others and buying books, checking out the rooms and proverbially comparing notes, questions and concerns was great! We were also able to get some of our questions answered, although there were no faculty to consult.

Short from scrubs, I bought everything on the lists. Yes, there are several items we are missing on the book list. I'm not overly concerned, as I think we will have online access or at least library access to these.

Hope that helped a little!

Tehillah, I emailed and asked about those questions so I will update on here when I hear back from her :)

Tehillah, I emailed one of the teachers to confirm our questions. She said that yes we are starting in South 1804, not West 2125 which is what our schedule says online. She also said to bring iPods, laptops, and our books.

I look forward to meeting with you on Tuesday!

Awesome!!! Thanks for the feedback CalmWaters.

I'm getting very excited to start next week :-)

You're welcome Tehillah :) I look forward to meeting everyone next week :)

Just putting this out there if you'd like to join our batch FB page let me know

Hi Calmwaters,

I apologize I didn't get to reply right away, I'm glad Tehillah replied and that's basically what we did on orientation. And thank you for clarifying which room we start in saves us having to rush to the right room!

Hi Tehillah,

Did we meet on orientation? I hope you're the person I'm thinking of! Glad you found the forum :)

Excited to start all of you guys next week! :)
