Kwantlen Nursing Program

Hi all!

I have recently decided to pursue the career of nursing and have so many questions! I live in BC and see that my options for schools are BCIT/UBC/Kwantlen. I would prefer Kwantlen as I live in Langley, but does anyone know how hard it is to get in, and how prepared the program makes you?

Thanks!!!

Kwantlen's BSN is still on hold pending Ministry review.

Those aren't all your options. You also have University of Fraser Valley (currently the only Gr Vancouver program with direct from high school admission option), Douglas, and Langara.

All the other programs require a year or more of post sec pre-requisities.

Kwantlen is currently unknown whether they'll allow direct from high school or do like the others & require post sec courses.

I already have a degree so I was wanting to do an accelerated program which is what kwantlen offers. I don't think the accelerated option is on hold is it?

ah... that one. Search this board. Someone was talking about it a while back & it wasn't a glowing review. I think kwantlen & ipad might bring it up.

I've never seen an actual calendar year breakdown of that one beyond seeing that it's 7 semesters so I'm not sure how fast you actually finish. UBC's is 5 semesters (2.5 yrs). Douglas, BCIT & Langara are 3 years.
