KU BSN Waitlist

Published

Hey guys,

so I just received my decision letter for Fall 2016 from KU and I was put on the waitlist. I don't want to say which number exactly but I am in the top 20. Has anyone been accepted off the waitlist in the past and be willing to share what position they were and when they got their phone call?! Also anyone else who applied for Fall 2016 on the waitlist?

I am on the wait list as well, and curious about this as well.

Glad I'm not alone! Do you think your position is high enough to make it?

I'm not really sure, I guess I will just have to wait and see. A wait list is better than a rejection though.

From what I have heard, they have made it up to 32 on the waitlist before (this was for the class of 2016). Best of luck!

Hi all. Don't sweat it. Being under 20 you have a GREAT chance of getting in. I was 21 and got in by mid May for the Fall semester. I graduated KU SON just last weekend and passed NCLEX before graduation. Good luck! If you have anymore questions feel free to ask!

Hi! I have a question for JayhawkNurse7 and/or jayhawkRN754. I plan on buying at least two sets of scrubs, but how many days a week are clinicals each semester? I'd like to get an idea of how often I'll need to be doing laundry. Also, have either of you found the undershirt necessary/used often? Thirdly, will any N4's be selling their white coats from the previous ceremony? Thanks!!

Hi messi1. I had two pairs throughout the entire year. (Each year is a different color). You also have a choice whether or not to wear scrubs to class vs business casual. I wore more business casual except on great days or finals haha! í ½í¸‚ so two worked out just fine. You can always buy more at the bookstore of got want them. I have a whitecoat I could sell you cheap if you're interested. It's a women's L. You honestly don't use them much at all. The undershirt was useless to me because it's not that warm and kind of crappy material. As long as you aren't in the clinical setting (unless your preceptor is cool with it) you can wear a jacket or sweatshirt over your scrubs. Clinical is 1-2x a week most of the program until your final 8 weeks when it's 2-3 times a week. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Thank you, that is so helpful!! I would also be interested in your whitecoat so I'll send you a PM later today if that's okay!

Hello again, JayhawkNurse7!! Just thought I'd let you know that I sent you a PM because I'm not sure if members are notified of new messages or not, so just in case! :)
