Good Morning Everyone! I have the opportunity to get my MSN from Capella, CTU, or GCU fully paid for. I know it's is a round about way of getting accepted to KPSA, but I figured if it'll help boost my overall GPA and prove that I am capable of graduate level work then why not. My question is, does anyone know if KPSA will accept some of my MSN graduate credits towards my DNP?

I am not familiar with KPSA's program - but I would give them a call and just ask. Sometimes they even have it listed on their website.
What I have seen in my experience, most schools do not accept Master's credits for a different degree. If it's for the same degree, I would think they should.
For me for instance, I first got my Master's in Nursing ED. and am now going back for my Doctorate in CRNA. None of my credits will transfer over, unfortunately. It would be so nice if they did - would love to save $$ right now ?

The answer is more than likely no. Many CRNA students have MSNs in other specialties. I've never heard of any getting transfer credit. My class had several students with masters in other nursing specialties; one was even an ICU NP. Everybody had to do all the same classes.
The NBCRNA's program requirements are very strict. Even the general doctoral nursing classes (research methods, leadership, policy) are geared towards CRNAs. It wouldn't be apples to apples. So, I don't think there's really any way for them to give you credit even if they wanted to.
