Hello everyone!
I just wanted to share a little tid bit with everyone regarding my situation. I graduated with my RN in early 2005 after being an LPN for several years....and then relocated to cali. I started a job on a very busy floor at a truama center/teaching hospital in 2005. I was busy from the second i got to work until I was clocking out! The quality of the care was excellent and I was always learning new things. It became very stressful, and I resigned on good terms after 2 years. I did some homecare....didn't like it and missed my peds job. I started working at another hospital doing basic peds and med/surg overflow....didn't like it and always compared it with my other first job.... The nurses took super long breaks and even got in empty patient beds to sleep!!! I picked up the phone and called my old NM....she hired me back! I know it was busy and stressful, but sometimes when you have a good thing, you take it for granted. Just had to share....I am sure others have experienced this. I guess the defining point for me was how thankful I am that I gave 2 weeks notice and didn't burn my bridge.....I am happily using this bridge again :)
Hope everyone is having a great day! I just had to share because I am so excited to be returning to my much missed job!!!!!!!!
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks for reading,
Karen
