Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello Everyone!

I am a current student at Kennesaw State University. I have a 2.85 GPA and was a Psycology major who decided that I want to go for nursing. I am willing boost my GPA to a 3 ish but I am afraid I won't get accepted into KSU's Nursing program.

In the other hand, I see that Chamberlain would be an alternative but for $10,000 a semester, I think it is expensive. Worse of all, I would have to finance it with student loans and recently read that it is not accredited in Atlanta.

I would like to have your opinions and advices because I am soooooo desperate in finding a program that would accept me. Any other alternative would be gladly appreciated.

Do what you can to get in elsewhere. If you go to a for-profit school, you'll be swimming in debt, may not have your degree recognized by certain BONs and might not get your credits recognized if you want to go on for an advanced degree.

Put your heart & soul into raising your GPA. Talk with the nursing advisor at your school about your realistic chances on admission.

Best of luck :)
