I was perusing Kennesaw's nursing website and I read that an applicant needs to have 2.75 gpa to apply to the program. Does this gpa apply to the traditional program or is the accelerated program as well? For the accelerated program, do they look at your overall gpa and program gpa or just the program gpa? Thanks for you help.

Just sent you a private message back about this, but I think the 2.75 cum gpa applies for both programs. They really only look at your prereqs and take the top 7 grades (out of 12 total). They also factor in your TEAS scores, but I'm not sure how.

This may have changed since KSU has added the interview and the entrance exam, but when I applied, it was a rare individual that I spoke with who was accepted without at least a 3.5, no matter what the "guidelines" stated. Most of us had a 4.0 GPA or at least 4.0s in all the prereqs. Be prepared for a tough curriculum and very hard work.....this has been one of the most challenging things I have ever done. I have never met and worked with as many driven, intelligent people as I have in this program.
Thank you. This helps a great deal. It sounds like Kennesaw is a tough cookie!
