Hi everyone!
I am planning to submit an application for KCC's ADN program for Spring 2017. I am just waiting to finish my Pharm 203 over the summer before putting my app in.
My stats aren't too good
Teas - 80.7
Pre-req - 1 B and the rest are A
Co-req - A in humanities, pending on Pharm 203
Health-related exp - been working as a CMA for 2.5 years. With a current CNA certification. Last CNA exp about 2-3 years ago.
I am going to meet with a counselor sometime next month just to kinda see my standing. But I am wondering how everyone's stats look like. Kindly post, if you don't mind.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Well it seems they take less and less students each term. Not sure if this is because they do not have enough instructors...idk. But based off of how many ppl registered for classes these last two semesters, they may only be accepting around 24 students. I read on another thread that they have about 10-20 alternates. I guess we'll find out for sure in a month. We are at a disadvantage with it being spring. In fall some students also apply to UH and choose that over KCC leaving openings for alternates.
A late reply, I just checked my P.O. Box today. I got alternate listed as well , and it seems like you guys will be a higher priority than me. From what it sounds like, I think KCC will only notify you if they are able to accept you. It also doesn't seem likely that many alternates will get in, since I think its unlikely for someone to not meet the requirements. They would have to fail to get their health clearances or not be able to handle the financial costs
