KBCC TEAS VI

Nursing Students TEAS

Published

Hello all,

I am taking the new TEAS VI exam on the 11th.. I am a bit nervous but have taken some practice exams. I first took the teas V practice exam on ATI website.. i scored a 53% without studying.. then I purchased the practice exams for teas VI. My first time on practice B exam after 2 weeks of studying I got a 62% and I recently took it again (you can retake them but only once) and i got an 82% but I seem to have a bit of a photogenic memory so I remembered some questions and the correct answer (after I submitted the wrong answer) from the first time I took them. I have a 3.61 GPA. I hear that they have accepted students with a 75% score but I have also heard that they not accepted other students with that same score.. so it us all worried! I am hoping that I get the same score that I have been getting on my practice exams. Has anyone gotten into kbcc nursing program after taking the TEAS VI exam?

Specializes in Critical Care, ED, Cath lab, CTPAC,Trauma.

UPDATE: I passed the TEAS exam with a 75.3%..my lowest score was science and my highest was English. So much A&P!! Anxiously waiting for an acceptance letter from kbcc.. ahh!! *fingers crossed* Hopefully I get in for Spring 2017!

Hey, I just got accepted into KBCC nursing program, and by now you should know too - we got our letters yesterday! Hope you got in, but based on your scores, I would say you have, so congratulations! :)

hey @michelle0128 yes i received my letter on Wednesday night and I got in! So congratulations to us! Now to run around and get all of medical & CPR stuff done. I was looking into CPR classes, some of them offer only CPR or only BLS.. so I am assuming we would have to get each separately? They seemed to have sent out our letters extremely late because the deadline was Jan 31st.. funny but when I called the department they told me I can submit my acceptance form along with Flus shot on Monday morning. So much to do, so little time!

yeah, lol that was exactly my response! hahaha I'm like the deadline was yesterday! LOL I called and got the same response. CPR, by the way, is BLS. There's no such thing as separate. If someone is offering you CPR without BLS then it's not official from the American Heart Association because it's standard. BLS stands for basic life support and is part of CPR certification ;) Definitely don't waste money and go for BLS and just make sure they are authorized by the AHA to certify you

Thank you so much for the info! Don't know if I should start looking into getting the books on the syllabus that is on kbcc's site or if to just wait it out until orientation. I just hate running around last minute getting everything lol

what did the medical stuff consist of?
