Kaplan SD LVN-RN May 2013

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hello all!

I am a current LVN applying to Kaplan san diego lvn- rn to start may 2013. I graduated from Kaplan LVN program in February and currently work and volunteer at a local hospital. At first I was very ANTI private school, but I have working at my prereqs since 2007, and after so many years of school and not being accepted into a CC I am happy to go to Kaplan. I really enjoyed the LVN program and feel that I am a very proficient nurse.

ANyways, Im looking for anyone else who is also applying and wants some encouragement! We are all in this together!!!

I am also intersted in the San Diego Kaplan LVN-RN program. How long does it take you to finish the program? And does that give you an associates when you finish if you ever want to go on to get your BSN? I am an LVN and am really wanting to start getting towards my RN but am trying to figure out the best route to start. Any input would be helpful.

Sorry for the delay here.

The LVN-RN is 20 months at Kaplan.

You do come out with an ASN.

Make sure you check with the colleges that you might consider for your BSN. You may not be able to transfer to a WASC accredited school, but it really depends on the school.

I hope this helps:-)

Hi All,

Just wanted to check in and see how the program is going, for you all??

I'm halfway thru Semester 1 and so far so good.. Went in with one of my fellow Kaplan VN alum buds, and we are both doing great..

I would highly recommend the program, very good so far.. all of the soon- to- be grads are very insightful.

LAST SEMESTER!!!! almost done!!! Anyone take the NCLEX YET??
