There are four types of questions: knowledge, comprehension, application and analysis. QT's 1-5 are mostly knowledge and comprehension whereas QT's 6 and 7 are only application and analysis- this is what NCLEX style questions will be like. These style questions involve your critical thinking and putting the pieces together. While Kaplan recommends 60%+ on all their tests, getting above or below that score does not indicate how you will actually do on the NCLEX. My best advice would be to focus on the rationales of QT's 6 and 7 and understand why you got questions right and why you got questions wrong. I found LaCharity to also be a great book with similar style questions so while it is important to have the knowledge and comprehension behind a question this alone will not help you pass the NCLEX, focus on the application and analysis questions and keep practicing!
Thank you for your help. Also how can I get LaCherity? Can it be accessed online? Is it free?

"Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment" book by Linda LaCharity can be purchased on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Prioritization-Delegation-Assignment-Exercises-Examination/dp/0323113435 for about $38. I'm about half way through the book and absolutely LOVE it! I feel like I'm not only learning how to answer these types of questions but also learning a lot of content at the same time by reading the rationales. Happy studying :)
Great thanks.

Don't focus too much on the scores . Keep practicing the questions and read the rationales . that's wat I heard. Coz some ppl scored high ending up failed. So is hard to say rite ?
Thank you did you take your nclex?

Hello thank you. Did you also do Kaplan qbank. If so did you find it helpful/similar to nclex. We're your scores in the 50-60? like mine? Just wondering? They say question trainer 6 and 7 are similar to real nclex? Is that correct? Thank for your help again.
Dose anyone have a quick memory tool or sheet to remember infection control?
