Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exam

Hello! I am scheduled to take the Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exam for BMCC in November. I have the book, but I've heard that it's not very accurate in covering the topics that are on the exam. Can anyone give me advice on what books to use/how to prepare? Thank you, any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm taking it too this coming fall for the Spring 2020 program. I do have the book as well but supplementing reading from the ATI book I had used when I took the TEAS, Idk what else to study. -_-

I think it was mentioned that majority of the science portion is from A&P 2.

It’s so difficult to find any information about this Kaplan exam, I wish they had a good study guide besides the blue Kaplan book. Anyone else using anything else especially for the science?

I don’t find the Kaplan book helpful. I need a good study guide that has plenty of practice questions and answers to the questions. I tried the Kaplan q bank and didn’t find it helpful either. I’ve been going off of my A&P book (unity of form and function). If anyone has a good book or test bank, please lmk what it is!

Right? It's like pulling teeth trying to find info on this. I am also using my current A&P book to study as well and the Kaplan to test myself..

I bought a new book by smart edition named knat seems good but I wish we had a test bank or someone that can guide us with practice questions similar to the test.

@princessjazmin777 Oohh! Nice. I know, my strategy is just to know the Physiology portion of A&P backwards and foreward and then take the practice test on the Kaplan review book. Because the Kaplan itself doesn't feel like its enough. When are you taking yours?

@bookish_RN My professor mentioned using the hesi book also, I’m taking the exam I believe the test date will be sometime in December. I just finished my last prereq left math 104, are you taking your exam soon as well?

@princessjazmin777 oh thanks, will def. check that one out, thanks. Same, early December as well, I believe, for the Spring 2020 program. Hopefully we both do good, its just hard trying to pinpoint what will be on it. -_-

I’m using my schools A&P book “the unity of form and function”. Also reviewing dimensional analysis. My tutor says I should be good with that preparation. Im also taking the test in December, good luck to us!!

@Pbeebee hi, is that the book used in bmcc for A&p? I’m a transfer student and used seeleys A&P book, maybe I should try reviewing my old notes. I failed the entrance exam at my other school they used the nln exam I’m praying to pass this Kaplan ?? Good luck to you too.
