I was curious if anyone was applying for nctc adn program for spring 2015. Also, does anyone have any pointers for the kaplan exam? I'm so nervous. I've taken A&P, yet I had no clue about the practice science questions on the nctc page. If I can pull an A in A&P 2 this july, I will have 11 priority points and test in October. Thanks for any feedback!

I took the Kaplan for one of the programs I applied to and I got accepted. They told us not to study for it bc they wanted our base knowledge. I think I scored a 78 or 79 on it. The science is what killed me. There is a book made my Kaplan for that test. I would suggest buying it and then using that to study for a couple of weeks.
When you go into the test, just breathe and remind yourself that you know the material. Don't rush or over think the questions. I also took the TEAS and the Kaplan was a breeze compared to that. Good luck!!!

Thank you! I guess I'm just over-thinking it. I'm trying to not psych myself out about it before it gets here. Congrats on passing it!

I am entering NCTCs program this Fall. Here is the thread I wrote regarding the exam.

I'm in my first semester at NCTC. I would not recommend buying the Kaplan study book. It is completely different from the test and a waste of my time in my opinion. Study your physiology. There aren't any anatomy questions. Math is basic: fractions, ratios, percentages. Good luck!
