I passed using Saunders 4th ed, Saunders Q&A and NCLEX 4000 Q&A. Try to read the book first then practice a lot of questions around 100/day before your exam. I tried using Kaplan RN strategy practice exam and for many people, they were successful with it. Good luck.

I used Kaplan and LaCharity and passed in 75 questions. I found the Kaplan questions to be very similar to what I got on the NCLEX. In fact, when I got a couple of knowledge based questions in a row I became worried because I knew they were considered lower level questions.
I did not find Saunders helpful personally but a lot of people have had success with it.

I found very few questions on my first exam that I could apply Kaplan's strategy to and was very discouraged. Needless to say I failed, got my money back and turned to Saunders, Learning Ext, and LaCharity. While I felt Kaplan's questions were harder than those I saw in Saunders and the Learning Ext in my opinion I would not suggest anyone to go with Kaplan. Then again everyone is different in what they need, I needed more content than strategy.
