Hi everyone,
My name is Roxy and I was wondering if anyone has received their acceptance letters for January 2014, I am also wondering if there are any former Kaplan or current Kaplan students that can offer some insight into the program and the approximate cost if you have completed all of the general education courses. Any insight would be very helpful!

The post looks to be from another student that is also starting Kaplan in January. It's always nice to join a thread with other students starting the same cohort. Never hurts to have a support system early on.I'm assuming (by your post) that you have already gone through all of the steps and now waiting for acceptance, is that correct? The program changes from semester to semester in that class days, times and instructors may not be the same as when someone else attended. What I can say- be prepared to spend two years living and breathing school. This is with all nursing programs, not just Kaplan. The ADN program is extremely challenging as one should expect. The executive DON that is currently in position is amazing. She is super supportive and cares about the growth of the program and students. This is rare in a for profit college. My suggestion is to develop a strong support system with other students early on. This will pay dividends as you progress through the program. If you have other questions, feel free to private message me. Otherwise, best of luck to you in your new program!

Thanks NurseMorse!
I truly appreciate the kind words of encouragement. I will definitely try to link up with a study group as I want to ensure I learn as much as I can throughout the course. I am glad to hear that the DON is truly concerned with the growth of the program and its students because not all the reviews I have read are reassuring. If you could please provide a link to the other students post that would be awesome!
Nurse Morse, did you take the nursing program at Kaplan?

Hi MsToq10:
I will be getting my letter to start in January. I also would like to link up with other students starting. I live in Orange county but will be making that trip to San Diego to classes. I am sooo happy I got in... I dont care if I have to drive a hundred miles to go to school. I am so grateful I spent 5 years applying to other programs and trying to get my prerequisites.

Hello Tiffany! How do you like Kaplan so far??? I really want to go to school there. What experience did you need to get in to the program? What are the hours like there??? Was it hard to get in? Thanks so much sorry to be so nosey:)
Hi Tiffany,
I didn't get a chance to interact with you today. I was so nervous about the start, but hopefully we can chat at the next class. Do you have class this Friday? I have Academic Strategies from 0930 - 1130! Hope to hear from you... BTW how did you like that stack of books for Fundies....OMG... but I am super excited! This is going to fly by and before you know it we will be sitting for the NCLEX!
I have fundies on Friday morning, did anyone get their uniforms yet or find out where clinicals will be?
