Hi, wondering if anyone here knows when the next dates are available to the Kaiser SoCal New Grad residency program? I missed the deadline for the Fall 2025 cohort. Or how often they have new cohorts
@DeeeeeeanaThank you so much for sharing more details from the info session. I was having a lot of technical difficulties and wasn't able to attend. It is really hard to see the information on the screen shots and they are not zoomable. Would it possible to share a little summary of what was on the slides? Maybe anything super specific to the application or resume format? Do they want info formatted in any specific way on our resumes?
Am in Southern Cal and only one I see open for new grads is Pasadena. Is that the right one?

They are only offering med surg/ Tele.
When applying, did anyone check "Yes" on if you are a graduate of an accredited nursing program? As well as if you have a bachelors degree in nursing or higher? I am graduating in December from an accredited bachelors program and didn't know whether to check yes or no for these questions.

They said only MedSurg this cohort for SoCal.

They didn't state from what I recall. Most programs ask for 2.

They said: you must have an your RN license by Feb 2026
It's a 1 year commitment, so limited time off or none at all.
Will start in the day shift with your preceptor once your done I think 11 weeks after depending on the unit /specialty your shift times will change so you have to be open to a night shift.
This cohort they are only offering MedSurg/Tele..
Cohort for 08/2026 they will offer more specialties like DOU, step down, L&D, ICU, neuro etc.
Will have monthly seminars virtually for 1 year (paid)
Be open to any position can transition after a year to the specialties that you like via a fellowship program
They said all applicants will be considered.
Make sure your career snapshot, resume all correlate with your profile. If it doesn't it will keep you from moving forward. Make sure to review these answers clearly before submitting for accuracy, spelling, correlation with profile.
Cover letter not required but highly recommended. It's your time to let yourself stand out from everyone .. let it tell YOUR story your personal journey. Why nursing why Kaiser. Basically expose yourself. ( can take 30 min to complete)
Letters of recommendation highly recommended especially from clinical instructors & Kaiser employee , co-worker if you are a Kaiser employee it's a +. A referral from someone at Kaiser put their info on your profile..
They don't go too much into detail in this session. I attended their resume building session in the Summer and they said to try to keep Resume no more than 1 page. List clinical hours next to clinical site. So their samples were in this order I don't have screen shots you might want to Google but this is the order I saw. header with your info ; education; licenses ; clinical sites rotations with hours that you did for each site/rotation dates, work hx chronological order newest to oldest no more than 10 years. Then volunteer experience.
Basically everything we say has to match our profile on Kaiser. BE HONEST.
Interviews will be in person and possibly a panel.
Starting pay is: $55.78 for BSN, I couldn't get the pay rate for ADN but it shouldn't be much of a difference. Plus we get benefits.
