Kaiser Northern California New Grad Fall 2021

Published

Hi everyone! Just wanted to make a thread where we could help each other out and post updates about applications or ask questions! Good luck to everyone!

Has anyone got the Formal offer yet since the email last Thursday? ?

For the new 50 spots that got selected into the program, has anyone heard any updates after completing the application and drug test?

Hi Everyone! Congrats to those who got into the program. I am currently in my 3rd semester of my ADN program in Los Angeles but looking to make the move back up to NorCal for work. Does anyone know if you have to have a BSN at the time of applying and if it affects your status/likelihood of getting an offer or interview? I was accepted for a Kaiser externship down here but was never called in or given a schedule because their needs changed.

Hi all, it’s been a while since this thread was active.

For those who are/was in this program, can you share your insights on how this program was? Is it true that getting accepted into the residency program doesn’t guarantee a job on the unit or even in the hospital? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I know this is the thread for 2021, but I just applied for 2022 and wondering if anyone has any feedback on the program? Pros/cons?
Thanks and congrats to you all!

Hi All!!

Congratulations to everyone who has received an offer to join Kaiser! I have an interview scheduled for next week and I was wondering if any of you could provide some advice or tips for the presentation. As a new graduate, any guidance would be greatly appreciated. For those who have already presented, did you memorize your presentation or refer to notes on the side? Thank you all very much!

Hey, I made the presentation and had the speaker notes open on my screen. I practiced a bunch before hand so it flowed well and I got an offer. Just come prepared. A lot of ppl in my interview were not very prepared.

Hii! Thank you so much! I truly appreciate you taking the time to respond! How was the last five minutes where they ask you questions? Was it intimidating?

I memorized the main points/topics but presented in a 'story telling' format to keep the interviewers engaged. Plenty of others who memorized and referred to the notes got the jobs so you'll be okay. A lot of us who got the interviews also got the job offers so unless you completely missed the prompts or failed to show up, you're pretty much hired at this point haha. The interviews asked questions pertaining to your slides or if they want to know something at the end. Not intimidating at all. Be in the moment!
