Kaiser Fall 2015, anyone

Published

Hi!

Has anyone applied for the Kaiser program for Fall 2015? If so, has anyone heard anything?

If you contact them let me know what they say. I contacted them a few days ago asking when about the interview dates are because I have some scheduling issues I need to work out and that's when they said the 4th and the 11th. I'm on the same page as you, ICUNURSE. Only something from CSUF.

Hey icunurse, did you get an email today?

Hey-nurse... yes I did. Glad to get clarification and hoping for good news!

I got an email two days ago saying I was waitlisted.

Hey icunurse1,

Just wanna touch base with you. When is your interview date? Mine is on the 11th. I am so antsy now - scared, nervous and excited all at the same time. I hope I get to meet you!

My interview was today! Everyone there is so awesome and really try to make you feel comfortable! It's much more laid back than I was anticipating. I had some nerves going in, but like I said, all of the faculty and students participating in the interview are really great. I feel really good about it, but I know they are interviewing the 'best of the best,' so it really comes down to what they are looking for. Good luck to you!!!

Congrats to you both. What kind of hospital do you work in? I'm in a small rural community. Husband is military. Only option. I fi

gure it's what is holding me back. Just curious.

How exciting! Too bad we won't get to meet... Any tips for me? :)

Hey-nurse,

I work in a community hospital in south central Los Angeles. It has only 400 beds and we are not an academic center. I admit, I am pretty intimidated...

I work in a 500 bed academic/university hospital that is level II trauma (soon to be level I), comprehensive stroke center, 4-time magnet status, nationally ranked in 15 categories, and ranked as the number 1 hospital in my state. (CO)

I'm sure where you work is important, but I talked to someone today who didn't work in an academic hospital either, so I know it's not the only thing they look for!

Good luck to you! Just remember to breathe and be yourself! Hopefully we will both be back there in August. :)

Good to know, guys, thanks!! I'm in a 120 bed rural community hospital. Guess it's time I move on up! ;) best of luck!
